Senator Alexander Introduces Bill to Protect Cherokee National Forest Wilderness!

Senator Lamar Alexander has introduced the Tennessee Wilderness Act of 2010 to designate nearly 20,000 acres of wilderness on the Cherokee National Forest in east Tennessee. This measure would be the first wilderness designation in the state in nearly 25 years. The legislation expands the Big Frog, Little Frog, Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock, Big Laurel Branch and Sampson Mountain Wilderness Areas and designates a new wilderness - the Upper Bald River Wilderness.

Please take a moment today to contact Senator Alexander and thank him for his leadership and his commitment to protecting wilderness in Tennessee. Please also thank Senator Corker for co-sponsoring this legislation and ask your Representative to support this measure.
